Applying for a school place

Our Admission arrangements can be viewed in the policies below, for September 2026 and September 2027. If you require hard copies of these, please ask the school office.
 
If you wish to apply for a place during the school year, this is called an In Year Admission. Please find the form for this procedure below. 
Please print this and complete by hand and either scan and send via email to
admin@westbury-on-severncofe.gloucs.sch.uk or deliver by hand. We can also receive these forms in the post. If you need the form printed for you, please ask at the school office. 
 
We aim to respond to all In Year admissions within ten days. 
 
If your application is successful, you will receive a written offer from the school. This will include next steps, a date by which you need to reply to secure the place. If we do not hear from you within this timeframe, the offer may be withdrawn in line with the School Admissions Code. 
 
If your application is unsuccessful, you will receive a written refusal explaining the reasons why. 
 
Your right to appeal
If you have been refused a school place, you have the legal right to appeal the decision to an Independent Appeals Panel. 
The school will inform you of your right to appeal and provide details of how to submit an appeal. Appeals are completely independent of the school and the Governing Board. The panel will consider your case and the school's case before making a final decision.
