Years 6 Leavers Service at Gloucester Cathedral

6th June 2016
Our Year 6 children attended the Leavers Service held by Gloucester Diocese at Gloucester Cathedral this morning. This service is a reflection of their time in primary school and a time to think ahead to the next part of their school life.
During the service the children heard from Bishop Rachel and Bob Hartman, author of the Lions Storyteller Bible and joined in the singing of some isingpop songs. They contributed to the collection for the Peace and Hope Trust and recieved a candle to use in our collective worships in school.

After the service the children enjoyed lunch at the Toby carvery, kindly provided by Friends of Westbury. The children really appreciate the opportunity to spend a day together reflecting on their primary school experiences and looking forward to the new challenges ahead.
