The British Tour

8th September 2016
Everyone at Westbury were very excited to discover that The British Tour cycle race was passing right outside our door. Class Two made a big banner saying 'Westbury School Says Keep Pedalling' which we hung on the front of the school along with world flags.
The whole school went outside tp watch the race go past. They were waving at all the traffic, especially the police and race cars and bikes, and were delighted by all the waves and horn tooting that they had in response.
Finally the cyclists came in sight ... and swiftly out of view. They were cycling incredibly fast! Some of us were lucky enough to spot Bradley Wiggins in the leading group. A fantastic experience.
