World Book Day

2nd March 2017
Westbury School had a day full of activities to celebrate World Book Day.
We began with a breakfast where children and their families could share a meal and a book and take part in a quiz.
We finished our World book Day with bedtime stories and hot chocolate! Children returned to school at five thirty to find mats and fairy lights waiting in the hall and enjoyed sharing some stories before returning home to bed.
During the morning we had shared reading time in the hall. We had the chance to see what characters our friends had dressed as and share some stories.
Class 1 had dressed as characters from Julia Donaldson books, Class 2 from David Walliams and Class 3 from Michael Morpurgo. We had Gruffalos, Stick Men, Gangster Grannies and even a War Horse!
