GPJ Soccer 7 Tournament

20th May 2016
This afternoon nine children from years 4,5 and 6 took part in the GPJ soccer Tournament which took place at The Dean Academy, Lydney. They played four matches against other small schools within the Forest of Dean winning two, drawing one and losing one. This gave them a total of 9 match points.
The schools were very evenly matched and the final results very close. Two teams had 9 match points and so it went to goal difference to decide between second and third place. Ellwood had a goal difference of three and Westbury one so they took second place with us in third. Parkend was first with ten match points.
All our team played incredibly well and showed great sportsmanship throughout the afternoon. Our captain, Theo, did a fantastic job of guiding the team and everyone respected his decisions and worked together as a team.
Well done to you all.
